Growing up, my sister and I always got a chocolate advent calendar every December. Since becoming a parent myself, its got me thinking about different traditions that i’d like to start with my own family.
There are so many neat advent calendars out there today, that I wanted to share with you a really creative one that my friend Andrea does with her family. I especially love how her advent calendar focuses more on creating experiences with your kids throughout the holiday season.
I have loved Andrea’s advent calendar ever since she made it 2 years ago. It’s beautiful, rustic and is a versatile piece of art work that can be used in different ways throughout the year.
You’ll see what I mean when you watch the video below.
Andrea was so generous that she has also offered to share all of her 2018 Advent Calendar Menu of Ideas. So if you’re struggling to come up with some fun and meaningful activities to do with your kids, look no further and click the link below.

You can print off her suggestions and pick and choose which ones you’d like to do with your family. There are so many great ideas to choose from, I’m looking forward to doing a lot of her ideas with our family this year.
I’d love to hear from you. Have you made an advent calendar a part of your Christmas traditions? If so, what kind of advent calendar do you use with your family. It’s so great to be able to share and learn from one another. Please leave a comment below to share what you do with your family.
Thanks so much to my friend Andrea for sharing her Amazing Advent Calendar and awesome Menu of Ideas with us!
Have a great week!

Hi Robyn! Yes, that reminds me of something similar a friend of mine did for the 12 days of Christmas and gave 12 different kinds of beer to their spouse. So many neat ideas out there! 🙂
